Mongolia Children’s Foundation reviews work in 2010

Presiding over a meeting of the managing council of the Children’s Foundation of the Government on April 1, its head and Deputy Prime Minister, M.Enkhbold, stressed the importance of spending money on projects and programs that will be effective in improving the condition of children.

The meeting reviewed the Foundation’s activities in 2010, its work plan for the present year, funding details, and criteria for choosing projects.

Members took decisions on implementation and financing of projects until May 1, 2011 and also established working group headed by the advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, L.Tumurbaatar, to oversee the work.

The Foundation spent MNT220.8 billion in 2010 on projects aimed at children’s development and protection; creating awareness of child rights through media, culture and art; preventing drugs use among adolescents; and on safeguarding disabled children from abuse.
