Vallar eyes Australian acquisitions
LONDON-listed investment firm Vallar is considering acquisitions of coal assets in North America and Australia worth up to $US1 billion.
Vallar would be considering the acquisitions "by the end of January, beginning of February," The Financial Times newspaper quoted a person close to the company as saying.
The company is also looking at a coal mine in Mongolia as well as coal assets in Australia and North America, the report said.
