Taiwan wins women's handball tournament in Mongolia
Taipei, April 20 (CNA) A Taiwanese team has remained undefeated in the women's competition of the International Handball Federation Trophy Tournament, which concluded Saturday in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Five teams representing Mongolia, Vietnam, North Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan played in the under-19 women's tournament. Mongolia, Vietnam, Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan competed in the under-21 men's tournament.
Taiwan was ranked second in the men's event, losing only to Hong Kong 22-23.
The winners of the round-robin system qualify to compete in the Asian continental phase of the International Handball Federation Trophy.
