PM receives Kuwaiti delegation
Prime Minister S.Batbold received a Kuwaiti delegation headed by Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Jassim Al Shamali on November 18.
S.Batbold thanked the delegates for coming to Mongolia and expressed his satisfaction with his official visit to Kuwait last year. He thanked the Kuwaitis for funding construction of a children’s hospital in Mongolia, a project that was agreed to during his visit to Kuwait.
Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Jassim Al Shamali thanked the prime minister for receiving the delegation and congratulated him on the activity of the Mongolian government, which has led the country to economic achievements. He noted that the prime minister"s official visit to Kuwait was a crucial event in the history of relations between the two countries.
The minister said that the Kuwaitis are actively working on implementing the children’s hospital project and other programs funded by the Kuwait Fund. He noted that the results of the programs will benefit the people of both nations.
Mustafa Jassim Al Shamali added that the Kuwait Fund has successfully financed road construction projects in Mongolia, and he said there are further opportunities to cooperate in infrastructure, mining, health and education. The Darkhan-Erdenet, Erdenet-Bulgan-Unit, and Unit-Tarialan roadways have been upgraded through the Kuwait Fund.
