MONGOIAN DELEGATION TAKES PART IN ITERPOL ASSEMBLY
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian delegation has participated in the 80th International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) General Assembly.
Organized in Vietnam from October 31 to November 3, the Assemly attracted delegations of 152 member countires. The Mongolian delegation was led by Major-General D.Sandag-Ochir, the head of the Police organization and chief of the Mongolian bureau of the Interpol.
Vietnam highly evaluated great efforts and participation of the Interpol President Khoo Boon Hui, Secretary General Ronald K.Noble and heads of 152 member delegations that contributed to the success of the 80th General Assembly, addressed host Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang at the closing ceremony.
Participants to the 4-day conference discussed plans of actions, exchanged experience in the fight against the trans-nation crimes, approved resolutions and recommended strategic plans for cooperation.
All aimed at reducing and preventing crimes and enhancing capability of member countries in the fight against crimes, for security in each country, regions and the world as a whole, Quang reported.
Interpol President Khoo Boon Hui expressed pleasure at the success of the conference and thanked Vietnam for careful and secure hosting.
The fight against trans-nation crimes faces challenges that require Interpol's more creative actions and measures, including renewals of technologies to meet the global demands against crimes in the 21st century, Hui said.
Vietnam handed Interpol flag to Italy who will host the 81st Interpol General Assembly in 2012.
