East Asia Minerals Announces Appointment of Director
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Nov 09, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- East Asia Minerals Corporation CA:EAS -7.14% announces that Mr. David Stein, MSc., CFA, has been appointed to the board of directors of EAS. Mr. Stein, is President and COO of Aberdeen International CA:AAB -3.08% where he manages a diversified junior resource investment portfolio with a focus on gold and precious metals. Prior to his role at Aberdeen, Mr. Stein worked as a senior equity analyst at Cormark Securities (and its predecessor Sprott Securities) for nine years, including serving as a director, with a focus on gold mining companies. Mr. Stein is also a director of several publicly-traded mining and resource companies as well as serving as a director of a privately-held resource development company focused on Mongolia. Mr. Stein earned a Master of Science degree in Geology from Queen's University in 2001 and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geological Engineering) from Queen's University in 1998.
