DRAFT RESOLUTION APPROVED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The draft resolution on “Improving living conditions of women in rural areas”, initiated by Mongolia, has been approved at the public discussion and a meeting of the third committee forum of the UN's 66th General Assembly on November 15. 91 member-countries of the UN joined as authors this resolution, initiated and adopted by Mongolia. This year's resolution several actions such as improving infrastructure, fresh water supply and hi-tech usage in provinces, icreasing women' participation in nature protection, decreasing nature factors negatively effecting women, drilling statistic gender indicators into developiment policy documents, improving education of provincial women through the media, appealing to governments to work out provinces' development strategies based on gender with methodology and budget fitted to provincial women and girls.
