Japan gives equipment to receive weather satellite data
The Japanese Agency of Space Research has handed over to the National Emergency Authority (NEA) equipment to receive data from the weather satellite Winds. Prime Minister had made a request for utilization of such data during his visit to Japan in 2008 as Foreign Minister.
Analyzing the pictures from the satellite, it will be possible to predict the weather more accurately and also to trace the course of possible disasters.
