China will share with other developing countries its experience in developing economy, improving people's living standards and optimizing economic structure, Xi said during a meeting with Supachai Panitchpakdi, secretary-general of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Supachai, who chaired the opening session of the UNCTAD-sponsored World Investment Forum Tuesday, hailed China's leading role in tackling the global financial crisis with other developing nations.
He pledged to make joint efforts with China to strengthen developing countries' capability to develop in a sustainable manner.
Xi also met with some foreign leaders at the forum, including Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister Miegombyn Enkhbold, Ghanian Vice President John Dramani Mahama and Zimbabwean Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara.
During his meeting with Enkhbold, Xi highlighted the importance of China-Mongolia ties, saying China is ready to work with Mongolia to promote trade and economic cooperation, and enhance mutual understanding, trust and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
Enkhbold hailed the recent developments in Mongolia-China ties, urging further cooperation in trade, economics, science and technology, culture and people-to-people exchange.
In a meeting with Ghana's Mahama, Xi pledged to speed up cooperation with the African nation while expressing appreciation for Ghana's adherence to the one-China policy.
Mahama hailed China's role in safeguarding the interests of developing countries on the global stage, saying his country hopes to further boost economic cooperation with China.
During his meeting with Zimbabwe's Mutambara, Xi said China will encourage investors to go to the south African state.
In the meeting, Mutambara voiced hope for more cooperation with China in the fields of agriculture, finance, mining, infrastructure construction and tourism.
