DISCOVER MONGOLIA-2010 INT`L MINING INVESTORS FORUM HELD
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The "Discover Mongolia 2010" 8th International Mining Investors Forum took place September 8-9 in the Children's Palace. Number of participants in the forum was more ten times than at the first forum.
A report has been delivered titled "Mineral investment environment: Global perspectives" at the beginning of the forum.
The Vice Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy B.Ariunsan mentioned that the year of 2010 is the period of supporting business environment, and underlined that their Ministry is paying attention to improving partnership of private sector, exporting final products of mineral resources and improving legal environment.
He added that the mining sector in Mongolia has been brought into a new level of development.
The forum's main report titled "Where not to invest?" has been delivered by Bernard Guarnera, the president of "Behre Dolbear" Group Inc. He said he felt that the attitudes of people to the mining has been improved, and thus it is obvious that many investors want to make investments to Mongolia.
Reports have been sounded at the forum with themes "Banking structure in Mongolia", "Avoiding crisis of mining licenses", "Managing complaints, disputes and crisis related to mining sector and ways of solving them" and "Taxation policy and the mining sector in Mongolia".
In frames of the forum's program, some 100 enterprisers such as the "Wagner Asia" and companies from the USA, Australia, France and Germany propagandized their activities. They gave information to the attendees on the latest equipment for mining and projects, programs.
