Pensions and allowances going up

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Pursuant to a decision of the cabinet, all kinds of pensions granted from the social insurance fund will increase 30 per cent.

It means that a minimum size of the complete pension will go up from MNT 81,000 to MNT 105,300, the equalized pension, which is granted based on ages and lenght of service--from MNT 54,000 to MNT 70,200, the average size of pension--from MNT 96,600 to 125,500. Some 60 per cent of pensioners receive minimum complex and equalized pensions.

Pensions and money allowances granted from the social welfare fund have been increased as well, for example, allowances that are given to those who need care such as seniors living alone, the disabled and orphans. This allowance is expected to rise to MNT 53,820 covering 52 thousand people.

Seniors who are in permanent bed-care, and the people who take care for the disabled and orphans receive allowances every month on a certain term. They will now receive MNT 31,200.
