Kyrgyz and Norwegian foreign ministers call on Mongolia’s president
In the frame of their visits to Mongolia to attend the VII Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies, the foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Norway on called on the President of Mongolia, Ts.Elbegdorj.
Following his meeting with the president, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldayev also held bilateral talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, L. Bold, and several Mongolian members of parliament and other officials.
Erlan Abdyldayev is familiar with Mongolia, as he served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Mongolia between 2001 and 2005.
In his meeting with President Ts.Elbegdorj, Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Bart Eide noted that this year marks the 45thanniversary of Mongolia and Norway diplomatic relations, and emphasized that relations between the two countries are deepening. The minister also discussed with President Ts.Elbegdorj opportunities for Mongolia-Norway collaboration in the mining, green development, culture and tourism sectors.
