DAY OF MONGOLIAN ARMED FORCES CELEBRATED
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Sunday, authorities and war veterans paid tribute to the Monument to D.Sukhbaatar on occasion of the 91st anniversary of founding of the contemporary Armed Forces of Mongolia, March 18.
The Prime Minister S.Batbold congratulated the Armed forces and the veterans on behalf of himself and the government on, and said the cabinet aims to construct apartments for 1,662 servicemen and houses in aimags in frames of the "100 thousand apartments" national program. An erection has already started with a participation of the military construction units, and tens of servicemen have been enrolled in the "40 thousand apartments" program, he added.
The head of the General Headquarters of Mongolia's Armed Forces (GHMAF) Lieutenant-General Ts.Byambajav underlined that the Day of Mongolian Troops must be celebrated by all men in Mongolia not only by military "because every Mongolian man has defended their motherland and significantly contributed to the great construction in Mongolia".
The same day, the Defense Minister J.Enkhbayar addressed and then opened national wrestling tournaments among 208 wrestlers, and other cultural actions took place.
