PRESIDENT TS.ELBEGDORJ RECEIVES FRG MINISTERS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In Germany with the state visit, the President of Mongolia received on Thursday Norbert Lammert, the President of the Bundestag, and then Philipp Rosler, the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology and the Vice Chancellor of Germany.
The sides have exchanged views on activating the economic cooperation, attracting investments, co-implementing the biggest projects in mining and infrastructure, and introducing the latest environmentally-friendly German technologies to Mongolia.
The sides have reached an agreement to cooperate in ensuring a realization of the intergovernmental agreement on mineral, industrial and technological collaboration, and in constructing infrastructure for mineral exploration and extraction. They have also agreed to cooperate in improving benefits from mineral resources, and in realizing environmental and social standards.
Within the visit, Ts.Elbegdorj also legged the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation and met delegates of education, culture and scientific sectors. He has underlined that Mongol studies and research works run by universities of Berlin, Bonn, Leipzig and Munich have been contributing to developing of the Mongolian studies.
Then, Mr. Elbegdorj awarded some officials the state prizes--Peter Ramsauer, the Federal Minister of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs; Dirk Niebel, the Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development; and Dagmar Enkelmann, a Bundestag member--for their contribution to the development of the Mongolia-Germany relations and cooperation.
