SPEAKER MEETS AMBASSADOR OF S.KOREA
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker D.Demberel has congratulated Mr. Lee Tae-ru on becoming the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia.
At the meeting on Monday the Speaker also wished Mr. Lee success in dipmission and emphasized that the 22nd anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations are celebrated this year. “I am glad to note the Republic of Korea has given us great assistance and donation for economic development and other directions,” he said. "This is an expression of the mutual trust and friendly ties between the people of our countries," he added.
The Speaker said new Ambassador will continue significantly contributing to the inter-parliamentary ties, especially in times when the bilateral comprehensive partnership relations are to start and intensive development of Mongolia begins. "I hope that inter-parliamentary cooperation will be lifted into a new level," he said.
In order to bring the ties into a newer level, "it is important for us to agree to develop the relations at a comprehensive partnership level and to establish a middle-term cooperation program, he stressed. He pays a special attention to boosting the cooperation in mining, infrastructure, agriculture and other sectors and to supporting the economic collaboration in East Asian region, he said and then spoke about the inter-citizen ties and a situation of the Mongolians in S.Korea.
In turn, Mr. Lee expressed satisfaction with being appointed the Ambassador to Mongolia in times of intensifying comprehensive partnership relations, and promised to do all his best, especially to support the inter-citizen ties, facilitate the visa terms, abolish problems in direct flights. He also intends to expand the ties in the infrastructure and transportation sectors, he said.
