UB MAYOR MEETS AMBASSADORS OF S.KOREA AND CHINA
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city G.Monkhbayar met on Wednesday Mr. Lee Tae-run, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia.
The Mayor is glad that an experienced diplomat has been appointed as the new Ambassador to Mongolia, he said. He hoped that Mr. Lee will contribute to widening of the ties between Ulaanbaatar and Seoul.
He said businessmen of Seoul can participate in projects and programmes, which were introduced at the International Forum of Investors held recently in UB, and conveyed his thanks to the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for making big investments to UB.
In response, Mr. Lee expressed a confidence that investments to Mongolia will grow from the S.Korean private sector along with official program for development implemented by the KOICA. He promised to engage in UB city's activities.
The same day, the UB Mayor met Mr. Wang Xiaolong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China.
They shared views on improvement of a street named after Beijing, the Bayanzurkh district, with a non-refundable aid from China's government.
Noting about his participation in the International Forum of Investors, Mr. Wang Xiaolong said Chinese businessmen have an aspiration to invest in Mongolia.
