S.Gantuya wins salary discrimination trial against Oyu Tolgoi
S.Gantuya, who was dismissed from her position at Oyu Tolgoi LLC without justification after submitting complaints about salary discrimination to her administrators in October 2012, successfully won the final trial against Oyu Tolgoi in Supreme Court on September 12.
As a result of her victory in three stages of court trials, discriminatory salaries for Mongolian workers compared to foreign workers at the company, will be investigated and resolved at the company.
She will be reappointed to her position at the company and will be compensated for her salary during the months since her dismissal. S.Gantuya will donate her compensated salary to the kindergarten in the town where she was born.
