The Justice Coalition sect of the coalition government has agreed upon proposals to stimulate the economy.
“We agree that we need to improve the investment environment and enable sustainable businesses,” said N. Battsereg, head of the coalition comprising the Mongolian National Democratic Party and Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party.
Battsereg said members had agreed on a tax scheme where rates would vary depending on where a business or investment is located and the industry. The party is also proposing to extend the period of time that tax rates would be frozen from 5 years for light industry and 12 years for heavy industry to 8 and 12 years, respectively.
