PARLIAMENTARY SPRING SESSION TAKES BREAK
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker D.Demberel announced a break of the parliamentary spring session on Wednesday.
Before this, the MPs heard a draft resolution of parliament on taking some territories under the special state protection, as well as draft amendments to the laws on the government of Mongolia, on the State Great Khural and on regime of parliamentary session. The MPs also discussed some ten draft resolutions.
The Speaker spoke about putting the strategic mineral deposits of Oyu tolgoi and Tavan tolgoi into economic circulation and creating a foundation for developing small- and middle-sized productions and said that all these achievements are the results of forming legal and financial proper environments.
The Speaker said an average salary reached this year MNT 500,000--as much as twice against a salary by 2008, a minimum of pension went up 2.2 times, reaching MNT 180,000, students have started taking monthly scholarship of MNT 70,000. "Granting a bounty of MNT 1.5 million to every person has become real, besides, 250 thousand people have been employed," he added.
Within the authorized term of four years, the State Great Khural adopted 111 laws, amended 4848 and approved 350 resolutions, 35 policy documents and 59 international contracts and agreements. It is considered that the spring session has solved all targeted issues.
