CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting on Wednesday did not back a draft amendment to the law on social welfare for elders, drawn up by D.Ochirbat MP. The reason is that this amendment does not meet the principles of social insurance.

- Last month. cabinet discussed 55 issues and got acquainted with 19 ones. The cabinet did some biggest works, for instance, it approved a general plan of development for the Gashuunsukhait and Shiveekhuren border checkpoints, submitted to parliament a middle-term priorities of socio-economic development for 2012-2016. By March this year, the balanced revenue of master budget reached MNT 1,048.8 billion, exceeding by MNT 117.2 billion or 10.1 per cent than expected. It increased by MNT 144.1 billion or 15.9 per cent against the previous year, in addition, 53.5 per cent of the master budget's expenditure has been financed.

- Members of a regulatory council for agricultural raw materials and products exchange have been appointed. Rules and actions of the council have been adopted as well. A unit in responsible for preparation for establishing the exchange and propagandizing related laws has been changed into a section of the regulatory council. It will comprise 15 officials.

- A decision was made to organize a national forum themed "Attitude of family development in present Mongolia", which will run in June of 2012. A necessary capital will be allotted from the governmental reserved fund.
