Franco Baresi Stadium to be built

Last Friday on May 25th, the ceremony of “ground-breaking” for the indoor sports stadium occurred. The stadium, with a capacity of 5000 people, is going to be built in the 15th Khoroo of Bayanzurkh District. 

During the ceremony the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar City G.Munkhbayar, and the famous Italian football player Franco Baresi of AC Milan, who was visiting Mongolia recently, participated alongside officials from the City Governmental Office and Governmental Office of Bayanzurkh District, athletes of ‘FC Ulaanbaatar’ football team, and citizens of the district. Mongolian football players will now be able to do their training and hold different competitions and matches during the four seasons of the year. The stadium is set to be named after Franco Baresi.
