New Airport will open its door in 2016

At Khushigt Valley, a newly planned international airport will be built with soft loan from the Japanese Government. The detailed drawing and other necessary due diligence is being prepared for the selection of its project implementing company. The Mongolian Government made agreement on 22 billion yen soft loan, but the new airport needs over 30 billion. According to the agreement, the Mongolian side will be responsible on the exceeding budget.

New airport building work will start in April 2012 and finish May 2015. The airport will officially open its door in 2016.
