Nine companies in construction field win Barilga awards
Nine organizations in the construction field were chosen as the best in as many spheres and received the Barilga Best Awards-2010 at a ceremony in Chinggis Khaan hotel on December 20. The event was jointly organized by Barilga.mn website, the Builders’ Federation and the Construction Council of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The nine winners were chosen from among 50 organizations.
BUTI LLC won the award for the best building construction organization. The company was established in 2004 as an interior decoration firm and moved to building construction in 2006. BUTI built the Royal Castle apartment complex in 2004 and 2005, the Altai Cashmere building in 2006, the Golden Vill apartment complex in 2006 and 2007, the Monnis Tower office in 2008, and the Rapid Palace and Beehive apartments in 2009 and 2010.
The award for the best organization in engineering construction went to Odkon Holding LLC, which has been working as a branch of United Trust of Electricity and Engineering Structure since 1991 and now has five daughter companies of its own. It was responsible for the engineering structure repairs in the building of the State Special Security Board, changing the pump in the 4th Power station, and repairing the fire extinguishing system in the Government House.
Yavuu Impeks LLC was the organization chosen as the best in dissemination of progressive technology and techniques. Established in 2000, the company has installed the air conditioning system in the Department Store, Grand Plaza, Art House office, Max Center and G and E hall of the Government House in 2010.
The best organization for production award was won by Khutul Cement and Lime Shareholding. The company produced 180,000 tons of cement and 39,000 tons of lime in 2010, paying MNT2.9 million in taxes to the state budget.
Tumur Trans LLC was chosen the best organization for imported materials. The company has imported all types of constructional material, including 4 million tons of building construction iron parts in 2010.
Bayanmongol khoroolol of Ikh Uilsiin Ereld LLC received the award for the best apartment complex. It has 1,830 apartments in 13 buildings on 175,392 sq m, and cost USD120 million to build. Finished in 2010, the khoroolol is remarkable for the high quality of its work and use of modern technology
The award for social responsibility went to Aliyans Tekh LLC. Since 2001, the company has been working in heating, electricity and engineering structure repairs and heating pressure measure equipment. It spent MNT521 million on social issues in 2010.
The award for draughtsmanship was won by Urkh LLC. The company was established in 1990 to prepare the blueprints for the airport and the Gandan temple complex and has since prepared 200 blueprints. The company implemented expansion of Naran Supermarket, Ulaanbaatar Electricity Distribution and Baby shop in 2010.
Safe LLC was adjudged the best organization for security and signaling equipment. Established in 2003, the company has been setting up totally automated signaling equipment for fire, control and domofon systems. The company has worked in large projects such Shangrila, Boroo Gold mining, Rokmon building, Nomuun town and Orchlon khoroolol.
