Mongolia joins RIMES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Ceremony took place December 23, 2010 in Bangkok city, Thailand to join Mongolia to an agreement on cooperation with the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES).
Beginning the ceremony, the Executive Secretary of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Dr. Noeleen Heyzer has congratulated Mongolia for becoming the ninth country to join the RIMES, and then wished success for Mongolia in further cooperation.
Present at the ceremony were ambassadors of Cambodia, Pakistan, China, India, Maldives, Nepal, the Philippines; Thailand; and the embassies' representatives.
