Cooperation memorandum signed on border area tourism

A cooperation memorandum has been signed between tourism officials of Mongolia and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China. A team headed by the Chief of the Tourism Board of the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism, Ts.Orgodol, visited Khuh city on December 20 to attend a meeting to regulate tourism in the border area, organized by Ts.Orgodol and Zao Guan of the Tourism Bureau of Inner Mongolia. This was the 6th in a regular series of meetings to develop tourism cooperation and came after a meeting in Ulaanbaatar in 2009.

The agreement sets out some specific programs that will raise tourists’ number in the border areas, and allow tourism service providers to get more money. The meeting was attended by 40 delegates from Inner Mongolia’s aimags.
