GHMAF's delegation visits China
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A delegation headed by Lieutenant-General Ts.Byambajav, head of the General Headquarters of Mongolia's Armed Forces (GHMAF) paid an official visit December 21-23 to People's Republic of China at an invitation of the Colonel-General Chen Bingde, chief of the General Staff Department of People's Liberation Army (PLA).
The Colonel-General Bingde received December 22 the GHMAF's head Ts.Byambajav, and the sides shared views on the bilateral relation in military sector and on regional security.
Mr. Byambajav has mentioned that a regularity of mutual visits of state officials and military high officials is an expression of widening of the bilateral relations, and underlined an importance of expanding the ties between the countries. He has pointed that Mongolia wants to boost the balanced ties in military sphere with China and Russia both.
In turn, Mr. Chen Bingde has expressed a confidence that the official visit of the Mongolian delegation will give an impetus to widening the military ties. He has suggested the Mongolian side to activate the collaboration in strengthening the border security, military hospital, physical culture, arts and cultural sectors.
After the meeting, an agreement was established on rendering a non-refundable aid to Mongolia's Defense Ministry. It has been signed by Ts.Sukhbaatar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to China, and by Major-General Guan Youfei, a deputy director of the Chinese Ministry of Defense's foreign affairs office.
The same day, the delegation was received by Colonel-General Liang Guanglie, the minister of national defense of the PRC. The sides have shared views on the bilateral relations in military and the regional security issues.
