Forum held on purchase activity
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The first forum dedicated to the governmental purchase activity has been co-organized by the Ministry of Finance, the "Mercy Corps" international organization, and the "Developmental center of purchase activity" NGO.
Held at an initiative of the School of Economics at Mongolia's State University (MSE), the forum has been attended by Ts.Sedvanchig MP; experts and researchers from the Ministry of Finance, State Property Committee, Agency for Fair Competitiveness, Corruption Combating Agency, and the above NGO. They have delivered reports on values of the governmental purchase activity and its understanding among the public.
The attendees have spoke about a research made into influence of the governmental purchase activity on economic growth, and concluded its importance. They also have shared views on implementation of the law on purchasing products, works and service bought at state and localities' capitals, draft amendment to this law, strong and weak sides of purchase activity of projects implemented here by international donor organizations.
The organizers have decided to hold this forum every year.
