MONGOLIA: "HUMAN-CENTERED DEVELOPMENT TO BE SUPPORTED"
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Deputy director of Department of international organizations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, V.Ulziibayar has delivered a speech at a meeting of the third committee.
On Monday, during the 68th UN General Assembly, Ms Ulziibayar focused on Mongolian government's policy and actions to empower women.
"A great deal of attention and efforts have been given to to this matter and to issues of the gender equality, also, by supporting a human-centered development and women's trainings we can boost the economy and society," she said.
Thanks to step-by-step actions Mongolia has managed to increase a number of women in parliament and government, she went on. These days the government has also been aiming to prevent and fight against women's violence, and has submitted to parliament several draft laws such as "Law on Children rights", "Law on Family", "Law on Domestic violence", she said.
