MPP: Election of Speaker Is Illegal
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian People's Party considers that the election of a new Speaker has breached the Constitution of Mongolia and a law on parliament.
It was said on Tuesday by N.Enkhbold, Ya.Sodbaatar and S.Byambatsogt MPs at a press conference.
They stressed that their party intends to appeal to the Constitutional Court, adding that "electing the new Speaker without agreeing with any other party or coalition is one of the violations of the Constitution".
