ESCAP PERMANENT REP PRESENTS LETTER OF CREDENCE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Thailand and the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Ch.Battomor presented on Monday a letter of credence to Ms. Noeleen Heyzer, the ESCAP Executive Secretary.
In response, Ch.Battomor underlined that Mongolia's government always appreciates the ESCAP's assistance and support, and said a visit of Ms. Heyzer paid to Mongolia last year significantly contributed to enhancing of the Mongolia-ESCAP relations.
Mongolia wants to continue a program on training young administrative officials and to take aid for strengthening activity of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries.
Then the sides exchanged views on ways of activating the collaboration in realizing matters on sustainable development, discussed at a UN's conference last month, and on intensifying the cooperation in spheres of environment, trade facilitating, energy connectivity, regional integration, support foir landlocked developing countries.

Ms Heyzer congratulated Ch.Battomor on the appointment. She noted that Mongolia has actively been participating in the ESCAP's activities and hoped that the bilateral cooperation will expand in future.
