Mongolia To Host East Asia Children's Performing Arts Festival In August
ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia, July 26 (Bernama) -- The Children's Performing Arts Festival in East Asia will be held from August 21 to 26 here on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Mongolia's becoming a member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organsation (UNESCO).
This will be the second time for Mongolia to host the festival with previous ones held in Japan, South Korea and China, Mongolia's MONTSAME news agency reported.
The festival's objective is to encourage children to preserve their culture and to establish friendship and ties between participating nations.
Government delegates from partipating countries and UNESCO goodwill ambassadors are expected to attend the festival.
