Turkey Organizes Scientific Meeting in Mongolia
Turkish Language Society organizes an international meeting in Ulan Bator, Mongolia on Monday.
The international meeting, "Starting Ages of Turkish Culture: Starting and Inscriptions Age", was jointly organized by Turkish Language Society, Institute to Research Turkish History, Mongolian National University, and Turkey's Embassy in Ulan Bator.
Turkish Language Society Chairman Prof. Sukru Haluk Akalin told A.A correspondent that it was the first time Turkey organized such a meeting in Mongolia.
"The meeting which was organized regarding the Orhun Inscriptions, which have been erected nearly 1300 years ago in Mongolia, was a new and meaningful activity to examine roots of Turkish language and to introduce the history," Akalin said.
Akalin said more than 60 experts were invited for the meeting, noting that, "scientists from Turkey, The United States, Germany, Czech Republic, China, Finland, Spain, Japan, Kazakhstan, TRNC, South Korea, Hungary, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Russia, whose area of expertise is Orhun Inscriptions attend the meeting."
