Joint Mongolia-China conference taking place
A joint Mongolia-China conference on intellectual property is taking place in the Government building in Ulaanbaatar. The conference is one of the outcomes of an agreement on intellectual property signed by the two governments in 2005. The conference is specifically addressing innovations developed by scientists and researchers. Concerns about this issue have been raised by Mongolia’s Intellectual Property Authority for years, but they have not yet been addressed by legislation. Scholars, scientists, representatives of institutes and universities, and representatives of international and Chinese intellectual property organizations are all taking part in the conference.
