China, Mongolia Eye Closer Youth Exchanges

China and Mongolia look forward to closer youth exchanges during the visit of a Mongolian youth delegation.

"The young people of the two countries shoulder an important mission in promoting national development and bilateral friendly cooperation," said Li Yuanchao, head of the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Tuesday.

During his meeting with youth representatives from the two countries, he called on them to enhance exchanges and learn from each other, so as to be active builders of both countries, inheritors of the China-Mongolia friendship, and promoters for the peace and development of Asia and the world.

"The two countries' youth organizations reaching a consensus on further cooperation will enhance their exchanges and promote the consolidation and development of bilateral ties," said Secretary General of the Mongolian People's Party Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.

The Mongolian youth delegation included about two hundred young people from all walks of life. During their week-long stay in China, they visited Chinese companies, universities, communities and villages in Beijing and Hohhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and will travel to Ordos in Inner Mongolia on Wednesday.

The young people from the two countries held a party in Hohhot Tuesday evening. According to the China Communist Youth League, another 300 Mongolian youths will be invited to visit China in next five years.
