Senior CPC Official to Visit Five Asian Countries
Zhou Yongkang, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), will pay official good-will visits to Laos, Cambodia, Tajikistan, Nepal and Mongolia from Aug. 16 to 26.
Huang Huaguang, a spokesman of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the announcement in Beijing on Thursday.
Zhou, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and also secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, is invited by the ruling parties of Laos, Cambodia, and Tajikistan, as well as the governments of Nepal and Mongolia.
