Mongolia Donates Statue of Khan Asparuh
Mongolians created a sculpture of the founder of Bulgarian state Khan Asparuh and donated it to the town of Strelcha. The monument was unveiled on Saturday evening on the town’s patron day. Strelcha is the only city in Bulgaria, which celebrated the 1330 anniversary of the foundation of Bulgaria on the same date. The statue is 681cm high - probably as allusion of the year in which was founded Bulgaria - 681). It was created by Mongolian sculptors, who studied art in Bulgaria and were fellow-students to the well known Bulgarian artists Velichko Minekov and Svetlin Russev.
