Foreign citizens are granted with ID cards

A campaign has started nationwide to grant residence permission ID cards to foreign citizens in Mongolia. Depending on forms of the residency, the cards are colored differently, for example, grey cards are given to investors Mongolia, purple ones to students, yellow cards to workers.

The residence permission cards are published in accordance with international standards, and include his or her date of birth, number of passport, address, photo and ten fingers prints. The foreigners must carry this card everywhere within the territory of Mongolia. Some 70 per cent of all foreign citizens have obtained the cards so far.
