DP FACTION URGES PM TO IMPLEMENT ELECTIONS LAWS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The faction of the Democratic Party (DP) demands that the Prime Minister S.Batbold realize the laws on parliamentary and local elections.
"Nothing has been done for the local election, its law says that Citizens' Representative Khurals of all levels must set up electoral constituencies, hand out mandates to candidates, and give necessary information to voters about numbers, territories and centers of the constituencies five months prior to the date of voting," the democrats say. "Moreover, in case the parliamentary and the local elections take place the same day, the constituencies in the aimags should have been formed by January 25 of this year".
"No constituencies have been seen, that is why we want the PM urgently start implementing the laws and take necessary measures," the faction members say.
