CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The cabinet decided on Wednesday to implement projects on supporting social welfare, on improving techniques and facilities of firefighting units of Ulaanbaatar city, and on diagnostic tools for historical and cultural heritage.
A right has been given to the Finance Minister to sign an agreement on realization of these projects to be established between the government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
- The cabinet approved a list of medicines, blood, blood products and medical facilities to be bought without tenders. A right has been given to N.Khurelbaatar, the Minister of Health to make contracts with internationally recognized pharmaceutical factories and providers to supply these products. Accordingly, 15 kinds of medicines and vaccines, 13 kinds of blood products and one medical facility will be imported.
- The 3rd National Forum of Co-operatives will take place this month. Necessary money will be allotted from the reserved fund of the government.
- The cabinet decided to allot money from the reserved fund for military groups of Mongolia to participate in the UN peacekeeping operations in Darfur region of Sudan, South Sudan and Afghanistan, and for joint military exercises of Mongolians to run in Mongolia and foreign countries.
- The Women's Boxing Asian Championships will take place on April 16-26 in Ulaanbaatar.
