Food prices going up
Following a MNT 30 increase in the price of AI-92 benzene fuel, food
prices in markets are reported to be rising as well. It is not unusual
for food prices to rise following a rise in fuel prices.
The first food to see an increase was meat, which has risen by about MNT 200. Then sugar prices increased by MNT 50. And when markets increase prices, those increases are usually passed along to consumers in supermarkets.
