D.DEMBEREL MEETS DELEGATION OF EBRD
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker D.Demberel received delegation of European bank for Reconstruction and Development /EBRD/ on November 4.
The sides have exchanged views on cooperation, money and financial policies. The team, comprising Board members and directors, are here to work out the strategic papers for future cooperation. They are also interested in amendments to Election law and budget policy of next year, said a head of the delegation Mr. Vasili Lepakis.
The Speaker has briefed on current situation in state policy on money and next year's budget. "We are striving to maintain the inflation rate at one-digit fihure, to keep the economic growth at appropriate level. Our state budget has expanded as much as three times against 2008 and want the budget to aim to the policy".
Aims have been targeted as to put an end to corruption during the elections and to fluctuations caused by political influence to the economics, he said.
Parliament adopted a renewed law on budget on November 4, and a law on budget balance was adopted last year enabling to make reserve savings at a separate fund, he said. The visitors said they stand for continuing the cooperation with Mongolia. It is essential for Mongolia, who is standing at development cross road, to make reserve savings rather than spending revenues on current expenditures, the visitors said.
