Vice-President of the Inner Mongolia Women's Federation Li Xuemei made an inspection tour to Haibowan District and the Wuhai Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital in Wuhai City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on July 6th, 2014.
During the inspection tour, Li paid a visit to local Haixin and Kangle communities, where she talked with local officials and residents about their experience in the implementation of “Women's Families” and “Most Beautiful Families” programs. The two projects were launched by local women's federations to provide underprivileged local women and their families with necessary assistance, and have benefited them much over recent years.
A majority of residents in the Haixin Community used to live in shantytowns, yet they moved to their current apartments in 2013, said an official from local women's federation. While the Kangle Community, built many years ago, has rich experience in its undertaking of community work and women's work, they added.
Li highlighted the achievements made by local women's federations in their efforts to enrich local women's lives with cultural activities in the same period.
