Goldpoly Announces the Successful Grid Connection of 40MW Solar Power Plants in Inner Mongolia

(PRC, Hong Kong, 20 December 2013) Goldpoly New Energy Holdings Limited (“Goldpoly” or “the Company,” HK stock code: 686, whose largest shareholder is China Merchants New Energy Group “CMNE”), a leading solar power plant investor and operator in China, today announced that a 40MW solar power plant project has achieved grid connection. Located in Wulatehouqi, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the project is jointly developed by members of Photovoltaic Green Ecosystem Organization (“PGO”).

The 40MW Wulatehouqi solar power plant is one of the projects under the conditional acquisition agreement which was signed by Goldpoly and members of PGO on 22 August 2013. The project was funded by Guodian Inner Mongolia Power Co., Ltd and its EPC service was provided by GD Solar. The project is located in Huhewenduer County, Wulatehouqi, Bayanzhuoer City, Inner Mongolia, covering an area of about 1.2 square kilometers. Upon on-grid connection, it is expected to generate approximately 1,619,080,900 kWh of electricity, namely 64,763,200 kWh per year, during the 25-year operation period.
