Sentosa Mining Ltd : 12th Nov 2013: First Round of Drilling Completed at Darvii Naruu Mongolia
12 November 2013 ASX ANNOUNCEMENT First Round of Drilling Completed at Darvii Naruu Mongolia
Sentosa Mining (ASX: SEO) is pleased to report that the RC drilling program at its Darvii Naruu Copper Gold Project in Govi-Altai province, western Mongolia is now complete. The directors are delighted with the progress of the program with a total of 18 holes drilled and an average of 67.3 meters per shift achieved.
In total 2020 meters was drilled in this first round of drilling that commenced on 24 October 2013 and concluded on 9 November 2013. Six individual anomalies were tested in this campaign. Samples from the drill holes are currently being transported to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia where they will undergo geochemical analysis.
In addition a selection of 23 surface and RC drill chip samples from various locations are being transported back to Perth, Western Australia were they will undergo Petrology analysis. Petrology analysis is essential to enhance our understanding of the processes which are responsible for the various mineralisation styles observed at Darvii Naruu.
Notwithstanding any unforeseen delays it is anticipated that the analytical process should be completed by the end of November 2013, with results being available in early December 2013.
37 anomalies were identified by the recent airborne geophysics survey conducted over the north western sector of the 62,735.8 Hectare Project. Six targets comprising the Mushroom Reef, Mushroom East, Sulphide Creek, Phone Point, Anomaly 7 and Anomaly 13 prospects were tested.
Perth based Sentosa acquired a 100% interest in Darvii Naruu on 1 October 2013 and has since raised
$1.14 million in an over-subscribed issue (placement), primarily to fund its first drilling on the project.
