President meets with citizens
President Ts.Elbegdorj met with citizens at the Government House on Wednesday. The meeting was held last year and it would be continued as a traditional meeting.
Some MPs, managing officials of Ulaanbaatar, some foreign ambassadors to Mongolia, representatives of international organizations and citizens took part at the meeting.
The President opened the meeting with a report and he expressed his worry about legislation poor implementation in the state. He noted that legislation implementation is directly related to the state security and if legislation of common interests would not be provided, the state security would be lost. The Government administers the laws and it is itself common rules. It has responsibility of legislation administration and people’s interests, he said.
Ts.Elbegdorj underlined that the state security should not be damaged by some high-ranking officials’ irresponsibility. For example, July 1, 2008 incident’s issue has not been decided yet. Court independence should be formed by the state because court decisions would be issued by judges but not politicians.
