MCA-MONGOLIA AWARDED MCC PRIZE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Millennium Challenge Corporation award of the USA has gone to the Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia. A granting ceremony took place on April 25 in Washington D.C.

As the MCC reports, the MCA-Mongolia has demonstrated a commitment to gender integration across a wide range of operational areas, including program implementation, communications and monitoring and evaluation. 

It has conducted gender trainings with its program implementation units and contractors and established points of contact on gender issues in each such unit. Through quarterly meetings, MCA-Mongolia tracks progress on gender integration, and programmatic interventions have been designed more effectively as a result.

Present at the ceremony were Kh.Bekhbat, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the USA, and MCA-Mongolia delegates.
