President meets German ambassador
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj received Wednesday Mr. Pius Fischer, the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia.
The Ambassador has given to the State Head a book named "Chingis Khaan and his heritage". Being published now in Mongolian, this book reprensents a collection of the "Chingis Khaan and his heritage: World Empire of Mongolians".
Mr. Fischer has said that the exhibition about Chingis Khaan was mounted in Bonn city in 2005, and thanked Mr. Elbegdorj for co-organizing successfully this exhibition when he was a Premier.
Mr. Fischer has added the exhibition had significantly contributed to propagandizing the Mongolian history and culture on the 800th anniversary of Great Mongol Empire. "I am very satisfied with issue of the book in both Mongolian and German languages on the exhibition mounted on occasion of the 2,220th anniversary of Mongolia's first state," Mr. Fischer stressed. Then he has said 2,950 books will be given Mongolia.
The President has thanked the Ambassador for the books and said he wants to send them to regional schools and universities' libraries.
