Korea Development Bank wants to cooperate with Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Korea Development Bank (KDB) has expressed a willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in establishing a development bank of Mongolia. A delegation headed by Mr. Euoo-Sung Min, a chairman and CEO of the KDB said about the willingness during meeting with the Mongolia's Prime Minister S.Batbold held Friday. The KDB also wants to collaborate with Mongolia in developing capital and financial market, creating capital accumulation, sharing experiences in attracting investments and training experts.

The Premier has told the South Korean delegation that Mongolia is doing its endeavor to develop its economics based on the mining sector, and added that Mongolia is interested in experiences of the KDB because the Republic of Korea is one of the those countries that managed to reach great success by correctly determining its development style. Mr. Batbold has suggested the KDB leader to prepare cooperation direction and to participate in the selection.

Founded in 1954, the KDB is a state-owned policy bank in the South Korea. In 1960-1970, the KDB made investment to the infrastructure sector, and from 1970--to the industrial sector. The KDB has been paying great attentions to the high technologies and making investments to foreign countries in recent years.
