EXTERNAL TRADE HAS DEFICIT
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first seven months of 2013, Mongolia’s total external trade turnover reached USD 6,038.7 million.
Export made up USD 2,353.6 million, import--USD 3,685.0 million after a trading with 122 countries.
The foreign trade balance showed a deficit of USD 1.3 billion, reflecting USD 98.4 million or 6.9 per cent decrease against the previous year.
Total external trade turnover went down USD 467.5 million or 7.2 percent, of which imports declined by USD 283.0 million or 7.1 percent, and exports--by USD 184.5 million or 7.3 percent against 2012.
Mineral products, textile articles, natural or cultured stones, precious metal, jewelry, coins, raw & processed hides, skins, fur & articles, animal origin products, auto & air water transport vehicles & their spare parts accounted for 97.6 percent of the total export value amount.
