Jiu-Jitsu wrestlers win gold and bronze medals
Wrestlers from the Mongolian Jiu-Jitsu Wrestling Federation grabbed medals in the Chicago Open tournament which ran on August 17 and 18 in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
A wrestler from the “Gurvan Shuteen” club, B.Buyandelger, and M.Nyamjargal from the “Genco” club won gold medals in the women’s 64 and 70-kg weight categories, respectively. A wrestler from the “Aldar” sports club, S.Enkhzaya, took the bronze medal. Mongolian wrestlers had participated in the same contest in 2000 when wrestlers G.Dashdavaa and B.Myagmardorj captured the gold medals.
According to the federation, Mongolians wrestlers will compete in the Masters World Championship which is to be held from October 3 to 5 in the USA, and also in the Jiu-Jitsu Asian Championship from October 27 to 28 in Japan.
